I was born in Rock Springs Wyoming, where I spent the first nine years of my life. As a result of my dads new job our family moved to Gillette, which is where I call home. While growing up there I made some amazing friends and mentors. I have just one older sister named Samantha, she is married now and living in California with her husband. My parents are Nellie and Doug Nutting. They are both great role models in my life and I know I would not be where I am today without them.
My faith is the most important part of my life. I thank God for the grace He shows me each day and for the blessings in my life. I credit my relationship with Christ to my two biggest mentors, who happen to be my youth pastors. My walk began when I was in seventh grade and has grown immensely since. After college it is my plan to enter into some sort of ministry; whether that is as a pastor or some other way I'm not sure yet. I know God has called me to help people, and I am so excited for the journey.
My college experience has been a wonderful one. I have matured a great amount, and learned so much about myself. I value my education and have come to realize how much I took it for grated earlier in my life. Part of why I gained this appreciation for my schooling is because of my involvement in Track and Field. Sports have always been a huge part of my life but I never realized how much of a motivator athletics are when it comes to my school. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my career in sports at Umary.
